Bill of Rights for Users
- Hitzeer will only collect the bare minimum of data.
Hitzeer will only collect and store the absolute minimum amount of data required to run our platform effectively. We will, for example, save data on which songs you play on our platform in order to make better recommendations in the future, notify artists when their music is being listened to, and provide aggregate stream counts required for accounting to our label partners.
- Hitzeer does not sell information.
Many ad-supported and subscription-based apps sell their user data to data brokers, location companies, and other third parties for a one-time or recurring fee. Hitzeer will never sell your personal information to a third party.
- Hitzeer does not send private or sensitive information to ad providers.
To keep our service running, we must run advertisements. When you stream a song on Hitzeer, a rightsholder (artist, record label, etc.) is compensated for that stream, which means we must generate revenue in exchange for your use of the platform. This means that we must run advertisements for users who do not wish to subscribe.
IDFA or Android Advertising ID for app users, non-identifiable browser information for web users (language, browser name, e.g. Chrome or Safari, etc), genre of a song being listened to, and location to ensure ads reach a user in the correct country and city are examples of data we may transfer to advertisers.
Above all, we do not permit ad providers to associate an ad request (when your mobile device or browser “requests” an ad on page load) with your Hitzeer profile. As part of the ad request, an ad provider does not receive your name, username, email address, photo, listening history, or phone number.
- Hitzeer will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard your account and data.
